Proposed Independent Group Would Set Common Benchmarks and Test Advanced AI Models. The three largest frontier AI labs, Google, OpenAI and Anthropic, are reportedly close to establishing a common standards organization that would act as a third-party entity to monitor AI models. The group would be called the Standards Authority for Frontier AI and could launch by either the end of the year or in early 2027.
